User ID is fixed as your email address. It cannot be changed.

If any user (outside Technical Committees) wish to share such documents, he/she can do so either through respective company SPOC or you may send in your article directly to us.

The maximum file size you can upload to Bite Sized Video is 100 MB. But we recommend keeping your videos under 50MB.

Special Interest Groups by default are all existing Technical Streams. GDA can create additional SIGs as and when necessary based on Board’s directives and/or members’ request after management approval.

A collection of pages arranged in a sequence giving information about an existing practice or procedure, a new solution an idea, or a piece of work which is shown and explained to an audience. Presentations” portal also contains those presentations shared by the speakers at different GDA hosted events (e.g. GDA Conference 2018).

An Article (also scientific report) is a document that describes the process, progress, challenges, issue or results of technical or scientific research or the state of a technical or scientific research problem. It might also include vital experience gained out of implementing a new initiative or an idea recommendations and conclusions of the research from our GDA member companies. Articles can also be based on Lessons Learned from any incident.

A best practice is a method, technique, template or a framework that has been generally accepted as superior/smart way to any alternatives because it produces results that are superior to those achieved by other means or because it has become a standard way of doing things in a superior/smarter way.

A white paper is an authoritative report, document or guide to fully inform the reader on a particular topic. It combines expert knowledge and research into a document that argues for a specific solution or recommendation from our member company.

GDA will issue a certificate of attendance for all attendees.

Classroom or Webinar. If Webinar – the hosting company will facilitate all the required arrangements.

Attendees’ travel and accommodation is borne by their respective organization (similar to attending committee meetings). If the meeting is held in GDA office, then the GDA will provide food and refreshments.

It can be held in the GDA Conference Room if the number of attendees is up to 16 people. If it exceeds, then the concerned Member Organization will facilitate.

Employees of Member Organization of the GDA as nominated by the Single Point of Contact (SPOC).

To promote sharing of knowledge and experience between a recognized expert within the Member Organization and among other members of the GDA, without incurring cost of engaging external training provider.

An In-House Training Course is provided by any employee of the GDA Member Organization.

Please find below our expectations on the Technical Articles:

  • It should address a specific issue, challenge, technology or idea related to the Downstream industry.
  • It can capture vital experience gained out of implementing a new initiative or an idea which is worth discussing with a wider audience for improving current and/or introduce new operation / practice.
  • It should not have been previously published anywhere else. It should be written for the GDA members.
  • There is no restriction on its length. However, it should be minimum 1 page.
  • It should have an introduction and conclusion, besides some sub-topics and relevant pictures, if any.
