Nada Al-Saleh works for Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) as a Senior Safety Engineer and is responsible for the effectiveness implementation of the Company’s HSE Management Systems for the running Projects & Mega Projects, including the Clean Fuel Project in KNPC.

Nada Al-Saleh works for Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) as a Senior Safety Engineer and is responsible for the effectiveness implementation of the Company’s HSE Management Systems for the running Projects & Mega Projects, including the Clean Fuel Project in KNPC.

She has over 18 years of engineering experience and holds a Bachelor egree (BEng Honours) in Chemical Engineering from University of Leeds, UK.

She is also certified as a Hazop Leader and Safety Manager. She also holds a Diploma in Safety Management in the Workplace & Line Plant Occupational Safety & Health.

Nada previously worked for the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) as a Senior Specialist and managed many projects there. She was also responsible for establishing the Safety Department within the ministry.

Outside her official roles and responsibilities, Nada associated herself with professional HSE organizations and headed the HSE Trainings within the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE-Kuwait Chapter).  She is also the HSE Subject Matter Expert for the Gulf Downstream Association.

Mohammed Alem is Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing Safety Coordinator. He received his bachelor’s degree in safety engineering with first class honors from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in Preston, England, UK. And holds a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical) from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland.

Mohammed Alem is Saudi Aramco Domestic Refining and NGLF Admin Area Safety Coordinator. He received his bachelor’s degree in safety engineering with first class honors from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in Preston, England, UK. And holds a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical) from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Mohammed also holds the NEBOSH International General Certificate and his experience with Saudi Aramco covered various HSE related aspects including process safety, occupational safety, risk management and operational excellence.

Hebah is a Senior Engineer – HSE Technical Support- Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) Ms. Hebah is Chemical Engineer by profession with over 15 years of experience in Oil Refineries.

Ms. Hebah is Chemical Engineer by profession with over 15 years of experience in Oil Refineries.

At present, Ms. Hebah is working as a Senior Engineer, HSE Technical Support at KIPIC, her prime job responsibilities at KIPIC are:

Ø  Developing, implementing and continual improvement of (HSSE MS) of KIPIC. She had initiated and implemented HSE dashboard, which is actually automation of tracking and monitoring of all HSE MS procedure and monitors KIPICs leading and lagging indicators.

Ø  Setting HSE objectives for all KIPIC employees

Ø  She has also played a pivotal role in establishing KIPIC HSE training units to cater HSE training needs of KIPIC as well as Contractor employees

 

She had started her career at KNPC as a Safety Engineer, then transferred as PSM Engineer where she had established the function of PSM team, updated KNPC HSSE MS and establish PSM KPI metrics. Later she was promoted as Senior Safety Engineer. She had successfully managed operational safety aspects of the Refinery, Emergencies as well as PSM. She was also instrumental in completing critical projects and Shutdowns at SHU Refinery, KNPC

She was Project Leader of KNPC HSE Culture Improvement executed by M/s ABS Consultancy

Beside above, she is actively mentoring young engineers of HSE Groups to become successful HSE professionals in future.

Mr. Ali Abdulla has been working for IOC and service providers for more than 32 years. He started his career with American Oil Company in 1987 until 1998, joined BP in 1998 until 2010 as corporate HSSEIA Manager for Petrofac Middle East North Africa and Commonwealth Independent States.

Mr. Ali Abdulla has been working for IOC and service providers for more than 32 years. He started his career with American Oil Company in 1987 until 1998, joined BP in 1998 until 2010 as corporate HSSEIA Manager for Petrofac Middle East North Africa and Commonwealth Independent States. Since 2010, his journey with Petrofac began with Engineering and Production Services (EPS) East as HSSIA Director, then Regional VP HSSEIA and Head of Political Affairs, currently heading Petrofac E&C as a Vice President of HSSEIA. Mr. Ali has been exposed to a wide range of Health, Safety & Environmental Systems Management along with Operation & Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, Integrity, and Marine.

Samiya currently works as QHSSE Management System Team Leader for OQ Refineries and Petrochemical Industries and Plastics, and she is considered as first women leader in HSSE OQ RI &P.

She is a creative & highly motivated team leader with total of 12 years’ experience in oil & gas industry at both upstream & downstream. She is Certified lean practitioner and lead auditor in ISO 14001, 45001& 5001, with proven ability to influence change & get result quickly & authentically.

She started her career path as reservoir engineer at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)-upstream business. After 5 years she moved to OQ RPI & P as environment Engineer then she led Environment Petrochemical team for 7 years. In 2022 she shifted her career path towards more strategic planning & system management as TL for QHSSE Management System. 

During her years of experience at OQ she was GPCA member in “Climate change & energy efficiency” task force team and member in “Product stewardship” committee. As well as she led HSSE readiness plan for a major plastic project (LPIC) and she had good experience in compliance with statutory & lenders requirement, managing community complaints, waste management, GHG accounting as well as air emissions monitoring& control. Her areas of interest are; management systems, people development as well as continuous improvement via lean techniques.
