Ali is a Superintendent Low Sulphur Diesel Section in Oil Processing Department South (OPD-S) Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) with 26 years of experience in the field of oil processing. He holds Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bahrain and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University -UK.

Ali is a Superintendent Low Sulphur Diesel Section in Oil Processing Department South (OPD-S) Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) with 26 years of experience in the field of oil processing. He holds Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from University of Bahrain and BSc in Chemical Engineering from Teesside University -UK.

Ali has particular expertise in Crude Distillation, Gasoline Platforming, Kero Merox process, Diesel Hydrocracking, Hydrogen reforming, Lube Base Oil Process, Refinery Gas Desulphurization and Refinery Waste Water Treatment Process.

He has Multi certification in Operation Excellence, Process Safety and firefighting field. Ali actively participated in various Engineering studies and Troubleshooting to ensure Systems, Processes, Strategies, Business plans, assets Integrity and Reliability are in place for continued and sustained safe Refinery operation.

Team Leader Operations – Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC)

I did participate as operations engineer construction and commissioning of OCR- ARDS (on line catalyst replacement) which was MEGA Project in MAB refinery 2003-2004. I worked as operations section in MAB refinery as PIP (profit improvement program) 2005-2006. I participated in P&ID and HAZOP workshop reviews for ARDS unit in ZOR & MAB refineries during FEED & EPC contract.

I worked as operations section head in several unit ARDS, CDU, HTUs, VRU, Isomax, Hydrogen and Coker units on 2006-2016. Currently I am working as operations Team leader CFP commissioning project for ARDS unit.

Refining & NGL Fractionation Technical Support Division – Saudi Aramco

Mr. Qarni has been working with Saudi Aramco for the last 26 years. He started his career as an outside Operator in Ras Tanura Refinery (RTR) utilities division. He then joined Operations Engineering department in RTR. Mr. Qarni holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Prince Mohammed University. In 2017, he worked with Clean Fuels Project (CFP) detail design in Spain for one year and half that planned to be executed in RTR. Currently, he is working with Technical Support Division that provides the required support for Saudi Aramco’s Global Manufacturing.

Mr. Qarni has been working with Saudi Aramco for the last 26 years. He started his career as an outside Operator in Ras Tanura Refinery (RTR) utilities division. He then joined Operations Engineering department in RTR.  Mr. Qarni holds a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Prince Mohammed University. In 2017, he worked with Clean Fuels Project (CFP) detail design in Spain for one year and half that planned to be executed in RTR. Currently, he is working with Technical Support Division that provides the required support for Saudi Aramco’s Global Manufacturing. In regards to Mr. Qarni’ s social life, he is married and has three daughters and his hobby includes football and his favorite team is Al-Ahli Club.

Graduated with honors from the University of Manchester United Kingdom and has joined ADNOC group of companies in downstream sector “Refining” in 2009. Started his career as process engineering and shortly after in operations as operations shift supervisor in hydrocracker UNIBON in Ruwais Refinery. He was later moved to Residue Fluid Catalytically Cracking (RFCC) unit, the largest in the world with 127,000 BPSD.

Graduated with honors from the University of Manchester United Kingdom and has joined ADNOC group of companies in downstream sector “Refining” in 2009. Started his career as process engineering and shortly after in operations as operations shift supervisor in hydrocracker UNIBON in Ruwais Refinery. He was later moved to Residue Fluid Catalytically Cracking (RFCC) unit, the largest in the world with 127,000 BPSD. He has worked in senior operations engineer level in RFCC and Section leader position in crude complex with downstream associated units such is Hydrogen manufacturing unit and Sulphur recovery unit. Recently Mr. Al Hashemi is appointed as Team Leader of Carbon Black and Delayed Coker (CBDC) department that also includes Propane Dehydrogenation unit (PDH) unit. Mr. Al Hashemi currently has a decade of operations experience and has recently obtained MBA graduated with honors from the University of Manchester United Kingdom.

Ibrahim holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) earned in 1997. Ibrahim has a total experience of 24 years in different fields covering the operations in the upstream offshore production; the gas oil separation plants; the gas processing plants and the downstream refining process. During the 24 years, Ibrahim participated in leading startup & commissioning of four mega projects. The last project was YASREF Refinery in 2015.

Ibrahim holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) earned in 1997. Ibrahim has a total experience of 24 years in different fields covering the operations in the upstream offshore production; the gas oil separation plants; the gas processing plants and the downstream refining process. During the 24 years, Ibrahim participated in leading startup & commissioning of four mega projects. The last project was YASREF Refinery in 2015.

Ibrahim started his career as process engineer in Saudi Aramco at Berri Gas Plant for Sulfur recovery and gas sweetening. In 2000, he joined Safaniya Operations exposing to Gas and Oil Separation process. In 2003/2004 he joined New Qataif Facilities as a commissioning leader. In 2006, he joined Khafji Joint Operations leading the design and commissioning of new gas plant at Khafji. In 2011, he was assigned as senior operations representative for new green field project during project proposal stage.

In 2013, Ibrahim was leading the offshore operations as operations superintendent at KJO. In 2014, he joined YASREF as Operations leader during the new Refinary facilities handing over to Operations. He participated in the Refinery start-up as start-up leader. In 2017, he was assigned as Process Engineering Manager of YASREF. In December 2018, he was re-assigned as Operations manager of YASREF leading the operations team to have safe and successful shutdown and start up during the 1st major TA conducted February/ March 2020.
